Digiflyer Player 2.0b2 for MacOS

The Player 2.0b2 for MacOS has the following known problems:

General remarks
 
Requirements:
There is no 68K Player yet; only a PPC one (this is work in progress). It should support MacOS 7.5 and upwards, but is only tested on MacOS 8.6.

Internet Config support:
Upon launch, the player registers itself als the helper for flyers (the .fly extension and the x-fly MIME type); this works correctly, unless the flyer is sent as something different, e.g. an octet-stream.

Missing features
 
Printing:
We'd rather book that as unsupported than as a whole bunch of bugs.

Known bugs
 
Text support:
Text support is still weak; line spacing and character spacing can be different from the Windows player, which may result in text being chopped off or in superfluous scroll bars.

Graphics:
Some JPEG images contain unrecognized data and are consequently not displayed. Some animated GIF images display random data in their transparancy regions.

Error handling:
Error handling is not user-friendly; sometimes the wrong error is reported, sometimes the player quits on an error without reporting why at all.
